HOW TO GET THE BEST FROM YOUR MEDITATION
When you’re feeling frazzled, overwhelmed or just plain exhausted, meditation is a powerful way to relax and get some perspective. Rather than silencing your mind it is fantastic at helping your mind and body come into balance. You will feel calmer, clearer and better able to face the challenges in front of you.
Finding a little window of time when you won’t get disturbed is best. First thing in the morning, in your lunchbreak, when the afternoon slump hits, at the end of your working day or once the kids have gone to bed can all be great times. Find what works for you. Ideally find a comfortable place to sit with your back upright and supported. This is the easiest way to find balance and to avoid falling asleep; above all be comfortable. Most people find closing their eyes helps them to focus but do what feels right for you; there is no right or wrong way to meditate.
